hi

i started my computer in safe mode and then exited and then i noticed that
there is a missing shortcut. i don't know the name so i will do my best to
describe it so hopefully someone understands...

by the start menu there are three slots for short cuts (there is a show
desktop, start internet explorer and the third missing one). the missing one
is similiar to alt+tab that lets you cycle between open
applicaitons...instead the missing icon creates a visual display of all open
apps that look cascaded. does this make any sense to anyone??? how can i
get that shortcut back? what is it called??

thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Do a System Restore to a time before this happened.

i have system restore off....

That's like telling someone your house burned down and asking what to
do. When you get the reply to make a claim on your insurance, your
reply is "I cancelled my insurance."

Paul Montgomery's suggestion almost certainly would have solved the
problem. There is likely another way to fix it, but I'm afraid I can't
understand the question from your description of the problem. Can you
clarify it.

And for the future, turn System Restore back on and keep it on.
Turning it off is foolhardy.

Why? Are you concerned about the amount of disk space it takes? If
so, I can show you how to keep System Restore ON and NOT use a lot of
space so that this won't happen to you again..
