Missing Hard Disk

Recently, I've discovered that my slave hard disk is 'missing' .

During booting and in device manager, this hard disk is detected but does not appeared in window explorder. I tought that the problem may lies with the slave H/D and a new H/D was purchased and the problem still exist.

How can i formatted a hard disk that does not appeared in the window directory ? ansd most important, how can i salvaged my data from my previous slave H/D. The problem may lies in the H/D controller...guessing

Please help !!!!!!!!
 
It would appear that the disk is not partitioned. Go to Start->Control
Panel->Admin. Tools->Computer Managment->Under Storage, Disk Management.
