so now I am confused, and after that he says network path
canot be found???
Enyone knows, please help I would be very grateful

Chances are something is wrong with SYSVOL share on DC or with DFS client on
client machine. Verify you can access \\YourDomainControllerName\SYSVOL
share. Also file replication event log on the DC.

Well the problem is that DFS was never ranon that server
and no one has configure it never before so I am
confused, and can you tell me where can I see any
relevant data about dfs client on client computer?

When you run dcpromo, it creates automatically 2 domain based DFS shares -
SYSVOL and NETLOGON.

The DFS client on the client computer is very transparent and there is no UI
or any configuration tool. There is dfsutil.exe tool in Resource Kit which
can dump some information about DFS client. However it is very easy to check
if client is working or not. Just navigate to any DFS share and see if you
can read files on DFS share. Start -> Run -> type in \\MyDomainName\SYSVOL.
The explorer window should show the sysvol share.

These errors can occur if the DFS service is disabled on any of the Windows
2000 Domain Controllers, as sysvol is a DFS share. All clients need the DFS
including domain controllers need the DFS Client service running. DCs also
need the DFS Server service.

This could also occur with multihomed domain controllers:
