Several folders of jpegs have suddenly disappeared from my Western Digital
120GB external hard drive. Other folders (of the less important photos, of
course) are still accessible. Ran Norton Antivirus: clean. I ran the WD
quick check and extended check (took 36 hours on USB 1.1) successfully. Went
out and bought USB 2.0 card. Then WD said to run Disk Defrag, which said the
drive was corrupted. I ran Chk Disk successfully after that. Ran Disk
Defrag again, still said it was corrupted. WD said to contact Microsoft for
help.
I own PhotoRescue. Should I run that?
