Has anyone experienced folders that vanish in Outlook Express?
This has happened to me twice. Both folders have been there for at least a
year, I move an email from my Inbox to the folder, go to look at the emial
later, say the next day, and the folder has vanished.
I click on Local Folders to see a list of all folders and it is not there.
What is happening and is there a way to get the lost folder back?
Please help!
Thank you.

Thank you so much for responding so quickly.
This said the problem could be caused by older versions of McAfee
VirusScan, which I am not using. Could Norton also cause this? Should I turn
off email scan? And if so, will I be protected from email viruses if I do?

Yes - it is possible and email scanning should be turned off. Your AV
software will check any executable file upon your opening or running it, so
scanning as the mail is in transition is just a reduntant and problem
causing step.
