I am trying to install Office 2k Pro components on a Win2k SP4 server. I'm
installing it off a network (VPN) and it's failing with "error 2755 -
internal error". I've been led to believe that the permissions on the
c:\winnt\install folder is the culprit. When I open Windows Explorer I
can't find the c:\winnt\install folder even when I am showing all files in
the c:\winnt folder. I know it's there because when I try to create a new
folder with that name it says it already exists.
My domain user is a local administrator and has full permissions on c:\winnt
(although I can't check permissions on c:\winnt\install because I can't see
it).
Logging in as the local administrator user yields the same result.
How can I check the permissions on the c:\winnt\install folder?
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
