XP Home Edition

I can't locate folder options in the control panels folder
or by searching.

How do I re-install. Any idea what might have caused this?

Thanks

Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Look in the right pane for a value called NoFolderOptions. If it exists, its value should be 0 (zero). If not, double click NoFolderOptions and set it to 0. If it doesn't exist, right click in a blank area of the right pane, select New, DWord value and name it NoFolderOptions. Leave it at 0. Log off/log on to see the change.

Start/Run/type CMD and press Enter
At the blinking cursor type sfc /scannow and press Enter (blank between c /)
Have your WinXP reinstallation CD ready to insert
This will cause XP to scan for corrupt or missing files and ask you
if you want to replace or overwrite them.

SFC - System File Checker - (SFC /Scannow)
Scans all protected system files immediately
.
Thanks for your help.
