In the Vista version of Windows Explorer the names of a folder is usually
displayed at the bottom (or underneath) the folder icon.

They have suddenly disappeared.

Can anyone tell me how to get them back. They still appear in 'properties'.

Thanks,

Noel

Yes I am in the Details pane. The folders that appear in the large white
pane in Windows Explorer does not have the name of the folder underneath.
They used to say helpful things like Access, Digital Pictures, Program
Files etc. but now just the buff folders appear with white pages inside.

I have discovered that if I hold the shift key down and right click in the
white pane on the right and choose 'View' that an option 'Hide File Names'
appears! I have not idea how the tick suddenly got there but removing it
solved the problem & the filenames appeared.

Next time you ask for help and then solve your problem, DO NOT CHANGE
the subject of the thread... OK?

Just post back that you've solved the problem.
