Ronie L.

I need some help. Whenever I start my computer a message
appears saying I am missing the " fntldr.exe" file and
that the "WIN.INI' file associated with it can't run. The
only thing I can think of that could have caused this was
that teddybear hoax that went around a while back.
Unfortunately I deleted the file before I found out it was
a hoax. My System maitenance wont work either since then -
it freezes during the scan disk process. Thank you.

Ronnie,

Have you checked the Startup group and registry Run keys to see if they contain a reference to this file? Since it
references the Win.ini file you might want to check it, with Notepad, to see if it has a Load or Run line referencing this file. If
none of this checks out you might want to look into a program for removing spyware, etc.
