Hi everyone

I add "generic /text only" component for generic printer support in
Target Designer. I ran the dependencies check and build the image.
The file ttyui.hlp is in the "generic / text only" component setting.
When I try to install the generic printer in the targe image, it gave
me a error for file ttyui.hlp not found in windows\i386.
I might missing some components but when I apply serach for ttyui.hlp
in target designer, it only found generic / text only components.
What could be the problems?

For additional information, I have "Retail point of Sale Terminal"
design template.

Any help is welcome

Is the file actually in your build? You've not, say, accidentally
disabled the component or that particular file?

Jeffrey,

Your problem might be a result of a setting in Target Designer that
removes all help files from your target image to reduce the footprint.
This setting can be found under "Other Settings", and I believe it is
set by default.

Rian,

I think you are refering to the setting in components
setting\Advanced, under General properties. The option for "Do not
copy help files for this component" is not checked in my slx. Here
are some other ways that I tried and failed.
I notice that in Target Designer, under "Generic / text only"
component\Files the target path was set to %66000%. I changed to
%10%\i386 and %18%, but none of them work. I also tried to add
ttyui.hlp to Extra Files under my slx with correct target name and
target path and failed.

thanks

Try manually copying this file to the Windows folder of your runtime and see
if this works. I seem to remember a bug with Add Printer wizard not finding
files even though they are in your repository.

Hope this helps,

Rian,

Thanks for your help. I got it work. It was in the "other setting" under the slx.

Thanks again
