Apparently Microsoft...in their greater wisdom. Has left
out a file in my FrontPage 2002 CD. I have been trying to
install downloaded updates (the first) and I get a
message that says "can't find file FP.MSI"

And...therefore, it will not install the update! I put my
install CD in, but the install program says that it isn't
there.

What a life...I can't even seem to contact anyone at
Dollar Bills to find out how I get the file they must
have forgot to send me.

Any ideas?
Thanks...

Which "download" are you installing from where
and what is the specific error message

John,

If it was left off of your CD, it would also have been left off of every
FrontPage CD created. Since that file is the primary install source for the
product, that would obviously be a pretty serious problem. Needless to say,
that's not really what's going on.

You can contact Microsoft by going to www.microsoft.com. There is a
"Support" link at the top of the page.

Do You happen to know "how" I would contact them about my
installation issue? I haven't been able to figure it out.
I tried sending an email request...but they cam back
saying that my serial number was too old. The software is
only about a year old...besides, I only wanted to get
upgrades for other office products anyway. I am having
trouble with Word locking-up. The "updates" software
wanted to do Frontpage first.

Thanks...

Go to support.microsoft.com and grab a phone number. It may be that the
automated system isn't going to allow you since you don't have sufficient
info. Talking to a human being should resolve that for you.
