I am running Win XPSP3 and use IOBITS Advanced System Care free
edition. I recently updated from v 5 to v6 and now at every boot I get
an error message that pops up telling me that Windows cannot find
C:/Program Files/IOBIT/Advanced System Care 5/ASCTRAY.exe.

I have searched for this file to no avail and it is not shown in any
of my uninstaller applications such as Revo Uninstaller, Windows
ADD/Remove and others.

Any suggestions on why this was not removed when I updated from ASC 5
to ASC 6 and more importantly is there a way to remove it and the
Windows error message.

Run msconfig and see if that's listed in "startup"
then uncheck it

I agree with David.... IOBIT plagarized the work of Malwarebytes, and
are an unethical company. I suggest uninstalling their software.

Thanks to all responders. Found it in the startup programs and removed
it - now will see if the error popup returns.
