I have a windows 2000 sp3 machine that recently
experienced a 7B blue screen error that would not allow me
to boot up into windows. I did a parallel install and was
told to remove a certain entry in the registry. All was
well for about a month. Now when I tried to install
pcAnywhere on machine I got an msinstaller error. I
downloaded and installed the latest version. Then I would
get a 'insufficient system resources exist to complete the
requested service' when trying to install anything. I
open up the services applet and notice that the installer
service is not started. When trying to start it tells
me 'Configuration Manager: A required entry in the
registry is missing or an attempt to write to the registry
failed'. I get this same message when I try to view,
start, stop, or even look at the properties of any service
on the machine. Any help would be awesome. If anyone
wants to call or give me a number to call to better
explain, that's asking a lot, but that would be awesome as
well. 402 968 7580 Dan Freeman
