When I go to Tools - Internet Options - Advanced Tab then scroll down to the
security section. The Empty Temporary Internet Files folder on close option
is not on the list at all. How do I restore it? I don't mind manually
deleting the files, but it is easier if I had the option to automatically
delete them when I close my IE 6 Browser.

I am Running Windows Xpsp2 P4 1.7GH 384 MB, and have Ad-aware Personal
Edition, Spy-Bot Search and Destroy & Norton Systemworks 2005 installed.

Any help or information would be appreciated.

Hi TJ,

This command should restore the missing option. Login as Administrator (or
Equivalent), click Start/Run and type:

regsvr32 /n /i inetcpl.cpl

Thank you for your information on the regsvr32 /n /i inetcpl.cpl command. I
had tried that command earlier and it did not work. I am still open to any
other suggestions short of re-installing IE. Till then I will just delete
the Temporary History Files Manually.

Works fine here. Another option:

From another XP system, export this key:

[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\AdvancedOptions\CRYPTO\CACHE_FLUSH]

Merge it in your system.

Thanks for all your help, but I do not have access to a computer with
another Windows XP operating system in order to get that key from. I also
have Tweak UI v1.33 installed. I am wondering if that program might have
something to do with my problem. After going to the control Panel to the add
and remove area in order to remove Tweak UI (v1.33). I find that Tweak UI is
not listed in the "Add & Remove" program listing. Not to worry, I found out
how to remove it manually. However... I am not attempting it at the present
time. I am able to delete all temporary Internet files Manually. I will
just be happy about that. :) Once again, thanks for your generous help in
this matter.
