Missing emails

I already had a working pop3 account, but added a second account for my wife. I set up Outlook 2003 to get her email also, but the two became jumbled in the same inbox. To prevent this I created a folder for her and set up a filter and a set of rules for her emails to be sent into that folder. This worked in moving her emails to that folder, but now none of my emails can be viewed. I can search for them, but this is a hassle. I was wondering what I did to make it so that I cannot view the old emails from my inbox, and what I can do to be able to view them again.
Thanks.

check view, for the folders

Is view under the menu bar, or is it in a folder option? And how will this help me to see the missing emails?

It is definitely emails that have already been viewed--now they cease to become visable. Under the 'view' menu there isn't an option for all folders; only navigation pane, reading pane, reminders window, toolbar, and status bar.

JDK cogitated deeply and scribbled thusly:

On the Outlook menu bar (at the top) go to View-Current View and uncheck
"Unread Messages"
