Blueyonder. POP3
Outlook Express. No Mail Rules.

I have long suspected from discussion with friends that not all email sent to me was being received.
I used a friends PC recently and sent myself 6 messages. Only 3 arrived.
Repeated the next day and same thing.
The only thing different I can think of is a Spam remover installed on a 14 day trial but now removed.
If I access through the webmail it says no messages on the server.
If I use the Blueyonder Self Test a message always arrives.
Anyone had this sort of problem ?

Yep, BT still does it ... fortunately, if I leave their Spam Filter turned on, they'll at lest not delete any mail and plonk it in the 'bulk' folder instead.

The 'work-round' ... is/was/may work sometimes ... is to add these emails to my address book. yeah, right.

They get rather "funny" when you tell 'em it is their fault.

Best to talk to Blueyonder. :thumb:

Solved I think...but very odd

It is not much use asking Blueyonder as they never reply to email support issues and the phone system seems too daunting.

I have found on an email I did get that all my emails were going to a different server called mailhost.spamjab.com. If I put that in the pop3 incoming mail I am deluged by spam and all my lost emails. I have no idea how this was set up or by who at the moment or perhaps i have subscribed myself on to it without knowing.

NTL/Telewest are re-branding & becoming Virgin.
So you should find the support level going up from very crap to just crap!
