Missing dll file mystery

For no reason I can think of, every time I try to open
Excel I now get a mesage saying "A required dll file,
MSO97.dll, was not found". I'm running W98 and have had
many happy trouble free years with Excel - how do I fix
this? Many thanks.
 
Thanks Nick - unfortunately, nothing shows up when I
search for the file using Start/Find or Windows Explorer -
I don't know how this can be.

I have EXACTLY the same problem with Windows 98 2nd

Edition and my Excel suddenly missing this file after many
years of working just fine. Wanted you to know you are
not alone. I just posted for help today. Hope we get
some answers!
