Missing contents of Hotmail folders

Can anyone tell me how to recover the contents of my Hotmail folders. We recently had to buy a new computer, and although the folders have been transferred to the new computer, much to my horror the contents have not. Help!!
 
Try downloading your email again and make sure to set some sort of setting to leave a copy of messages that are on the server, should give back you the contents. ^_^
