Missing Contacts when I type new message.....

In Outlook 2000, I can see all my Contacts. When I open up a new email
message and click on "To" - and I go to Contacts - none of the show up.
But I can see them when I open up Contacts. The seem to disappear when I
create a new mail message.

Suggestions?!?!?!?
 
Suggestion number 1:
Post your mail support mode. We have no idea which address book you are even
using.
Question:
What appears in your "Select Names" dropdown when you open the Outlook
Address Book from the To: field?
