Missing computer from AD

I have joined a over a 100 computers into the domain. Out
of those, about 25+ computers did not show up in AD, but
when I tried to add the computers manually...I get an
error: "Windows cannot create the new computer object
because the pre-windows 2000 computer name is already in
use.

What should I do to resolve this? I have tried to disjoin
and rejoined the computer and that did not help.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Use replication monitor and the netsetup.log file from some of the machines
that are not showing up to see if you have replication problems.
