Missing codec in Windows Media player

I have a Mustek video camera which I had taken lots of videos with which
played back without a problem in Windows XP.

Trying to load them in Vista brings up a message saying that a codec Intel
IMA ADPCM (11) is missing.

Any idea where I get this from and how I load it into the system?

(On the Xp machine I didn't have to load anything, the videos just played)

Thanks

Michael

You can get the codec from the internet. It is part of an Intel package
and can be downloaded free or charge. I was missing the same codec on my GOM
player (which is superior to WMP and is free) so I clicked on "find codec"
and I was directed to the proper webpage. I hope this helps. I will give you
some sound advice concerning codecs. Stay away from "codec packs" per se and
stay away from "Vista codec packs". They come packed with unnecessary add-ons
and cause nothing but conflicts with your system. Try to find the one codec
you need and download only that one codec. Have a nice day.
