I have a system that is mising the "client for microsoft
windows? in the network Local Area connection properties.
When I attemp to add it it gives and error and says that
it cannot be added. Is there a way to correct this? or do
I have to do a reinstall?
The machine is on a network with a Windows 2K server using
active directory and a domain.

Working from the W2K box that I am trying to connect to
the network. The machine will connect to TCP (has that in
the LAN Properties) but will not allow the addition of
Client for MicroSoft Windows. The machine will connect to
the internet.

Hi d.sweet,
Could you tell me the Exact Error message you recieve when trying to add
the "Client for Microsoft Networks"?

Thank you,

I am not sure of the exact quote. It is something like
request denied. Gives the feeling that the Client is out
there in limbo. The system was on a domain and I am not
sure if the user (set as admin) deleted for some reason. I
am not sure if that helps at all.
Thanks for the reply................
