Missing buttons - refresh, forward, back, stop, etc.

The bar with the following buttons has disappeared:
Refresh, stop, home, forward, back. How do I get it back?
I've reinstalled IE6setup.exe and the bar is still
missing. I'm using windows 98. In addition to the
windows bars I also have one from yahoo, one labelled "my
search" and one from google. I tried to eliminate the "my
search" bar and the next thing I knew my forward-back bar
was missing. Help!!!
 
Select the View\Toolbars menu option on IE. Make certain that the Standard
Buttons options is ticked.
