Missing au_gdi.inf file

I have several report of folks still on W2K that when
they log on,the get a message "could not locate
au_gdi.inf" file. This seems to be happening since the
GDI Security Update was installed. Does anyone have any
idea what is happening?

I think it's the GDI detection tool which has been installed and
configured to run once at the next logon. The problem is that local
administrator rights are needed to run it, so an administrator has to log
in on the machine at least once to let it run. Very annoying.

What's more, I got the error even when logging in as Administrator... but
only once, as if the startup command had been deleted anyway after
returning the error. Who knows whether it really checked the system...
