Missing Adobe Icons in Word XP

I run the Office Xp set. Unfortunately, I have made a mistake and cannot find the Adobe PDF icons on the Button Bar in Word, aLthough they appear in PowerPoint and Excel. I can therefore not convert Word docs to pdf. Any advice, please???????

You don't say what version of Adobe you have. For my Adobe 6.0, the
toolbar control is "PDFMaker 6.0" which you can replace on toolbar in
Word by Menu: Tools/Customise, Tab: Toolbars ... check on "PDFMaker 6.0"

If this not there, then maybe the simplest way to repair, if repair
needed, is to re-install Adobe and let it do the figuring out and work
to reset everything. Maybe "brute force", but probably easiest on you.

.... and he should at least be able to File > Print > PDFwriter or Distiller
even with the toolbars missing.

I thought of saying that but chose not not to since the reported problem
was lack of toolbar icons. Also, File/Print to PDFWriter or Distiller
is just that and doesn't run Adobe's terrific macro for creating PDF's
from Word, e.g. translating Headings to Bookmarks and other things.
