Thanks for the help. I appreciate it. I followed the
instructions below and there was only one contact folder.
I went back into Outlook/Contacts and discovered that if
I opened a contact and saved it, it then appeared in the
address book. I did that for the ones that I know about.
Unless there is a way to do all at once, I guess I can
just open and save as I discover additional ones.

First, use Folder view to see if you have more than one Contacts Folder in
your profile.
Then go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. >
See which Contacts Folder you are displaying.

I do not know how to check if the Outlook Address Book is
displaying the same Contacts. I'm using Outlook 2003.
Thanks.

That's no help. You're there. I'm here. I cannot examine
your setup.
Look to see if the Outlook Address Book is displaying
the same Contacts
Folder you opened. If you don't know how to do that, at
the very least post
your Outlook version so someone can help you.

I just did a quick comparison. I opened contacts and
looked for some addresses that I rememebred having
difficulty finding in the address book. These five
address are all in contacts with both e-mail addresses
and fax numbers. When I went up to the top task bar and
clicked on address book- three did not show up at all
and
two did but only listed one line with the fax number;
no
line with the e-mail address.

The Outlook Address Book and the Contacts folder are
always in synch. They
are one in the same.
Post clearer evidence to the contrary so we can figure
out your problem.

When I'm sending an e-mail and type in a few
letters of
the name in the "To" line, I then click on "Check
names",
which looks in the address book for the e-mail
address.
Some names are missing in the "address book" but
they
are
in "contacts". How do I get those two in sync so
that
the "address book" and "contacts" have all of the
same
names?
In "contacts properties" - "Outlook Address Book"
tab -
there is a check mark in front of "Show this folder
as
an
e-mail address book.
Thanks. Any help will be appreciated.
