missing address bar (Windows XP)

Suddenly and mysteriously, my address bar is now gone
from my browser. How/why would this happen and how do I
get it back? I've already tried the "View" button and
selected "address bar" and nothing. Any helpful advice is
much appreciated! Thx
 
Try looking for the word "Address" in the menu area while
running Internet Explorer. If you find it, try and drag
it back into its correct position. You may have to right-
click and untick "Lock the Toolbars" to be able to do
this.
