Mis Spacing Characters with Word 2002 running XP

Since changing to XP, I intermittantly get a problem of
characters mis spacing in Word 2002 documents. IThe
priblem is not linked to a specific PC or printer and
shows correctly on screen. You can print the same
document on two different printers and get different
spacing. This has only happened since introducing XP.
Has any one seen similar?
 
I would recommend downloading the latest XP drivers for
the printer at question.
