Mirrored Drive Access

On my home net server, I have 3 hard drives as follows:
1 - System - Raid-5/1 - Mirrored/1
2 - Raid-5/2 - Mirrored/2 - Data
3 - Raid -/3
My System disk has an error and won't even re-install
properly. It appears that it does, but it won't boot
after installation.
When I put a new hard drive in that slot with a new
installation, it won't recognize my Raid or Mirrored
drives. The data on the Raid drive is not critical, but
the data on the mirrored drive is important. Is there any
way to access the Mirrored data?

Is this Hardware mirroring or Software mirroring?

If it is software mirroring, what do you see in Disk Management for you
disks?

I guess they're software because they are not wired specifically to be mirrored
Now Drives 2 & 3 just say they are Foreign. They used to say they were damaged or unformated. I hope I didn't damage anything when I made them Dinamic from Basic

It was when I installed W2k Advanced Server on the new disk that it said disks 2 and 3 were Unformatted or Damaged not in Disk manager. Thanks

In disk management, right click on the foriegn disks and import them. This
has to be done. They showed up as unformatted and damaged during Text-Mode
setup due to the fact that Text-Mode Setup does not recognize dynamic disks.

Dear Bill
Thank you very very much. You’re a lifesaver. My Mirrored files are intact, but I lost my Raid 5 files, which was no big deal. I feel so dumb. I looked up everything I could find on Mirrored disks, but I never thought to look up Foreign disks. As you can tell, I'm relatively new in this field
Thanks
Rober
