Hello,

Someone mentioned that under XP Professional you could mirror disk drives.
I would like to know if this function exactly exists. If so, could someone
direct me to a URL or paper on how to perform this function. I have one
person that I could really use this feature with.

Thanks

Windows XP does not have a native software-based mirror
option. In order to configure a mirror, you'll need to setup a
RAID configuration. This requires two identical hard
drives, a motherboard with RAID or a RAID controller
card. Then you must install Windows XP from scratch.

Why bother? Get an old P90 box, stick two hard drives on it and install SME
Linux. Et Voila, your file access time reduces dramatically. Simply put a
Cat 5 cable between the two and you're in business. If you then use SME as
your net gateway you'll find it's a pretty decent firewall.
