Dear experts,

is there a special symbol in Word that looks like the plus-
minus, but inverted, i.e. the minus-sign directly above
the plus-sign?
Thank you
Martin Müller

you might be able to find this supported by a font
available on the net but it would take some finding.

best i can think of is insert the regular symbol into
word, copy it to publisher, rotate it and copy back to
word - not very elegant i know!

Martin,

I don't know if there is a special symbol. You can create
a fair representation with an EQ field.
{EQ \o(+,-)}. The minus sign is an em dash CTRL+(Number
pad hyphen). You will need to use Format>Font>Character
Spacing>Position>Raised to bring the em dash up about 4
pts. You can play around with this and maybe get
something that will work for you. If used often, you can
select, press ALT+F3 and create a AutoText entry for the
symbol.

The Field code brackets { } are entered using CTRL+F9

It's glyph 2213 in Arial Unicode MS (in the Mathematical Operators subset).
