Minor Problem=no "personalized Favorite"

Hi,
I installed Vista Ultimate back on release day, so 3 weeks ago? Anyway, I
transferred all my docs and favorites over to the new install, checked the
"Personalized Favorites" option and also "Close unused History and Favorites
Folders"
But my favorites folders never got narrowed down and I still get the full
menu of folders.
I researched the problem and found some stuff related to IE in XP, so I
checked those registry entries but all were ok, i.e. the values showed that
the personalized favorites option should be working.
One "strange" thing, once last week when I opened IE (I use it 3-4 times
daily, all my favorites were gone except a few so it seemed like it
"started" to work but as before and ever since, I still get the whole list!
Any ideas on why this option doesn't work? And a solution :-)

Yep. I've posted this question twice with no response. Near as I can tell
the IE7 personalized favorites do not work under Vista. After asking twice
for someone to let me know if they work, with no response, I think the
writing is on the wall.

I had no problem getting IE7 personalized favorites to work under XP.

I discussed this problem with MS support and they had no cure for it. They
did not seem to be optimistic that a fix would be forthcoming anytime soon.

and wouldn't you know it but the Personalized Favorites have suddenly
started working, hopefully from this point on!
