Minolta Scan Dual 4 + Windows XP

Back in 2004 there was a post from "Toonist" about his problems using a scanner Minolta Scan Dual 4 with Windows XP.

I too am having great problems with this, as most attempts to use it result in the PC "freezing".

I have uninstalled the Scan Dual 4 software and downloaded "Vuescan" to see if that worked any better, but with same problems.

PLEASE can any one help?

Not really ... Unfortunately, Minolta's support is terrible, they haven't released a new driver in almost 2 years.
