I was looking at the KonicaMinolta website to see if there were new
drivers available for my DSE-5400... And I saw a new entry in the
Drivers list!

"Minolta Multi Pro AF-5000".

What's that? Maybe an improved MultiPro? Anyone has infos? I didn't
find it in the Products section...

Since I don't remember the exact specs of the original Multi-Pro, I can't
tell if this is a different model or not, but it looks very similar: 3200 x
4800 for anything larger than 35mm. It's _expensive_, well over US$2,000
here in Japan (where the Nikon 9000 is over US$3,000: Ouch!).

(I just checked the Imaging Resource review, and it looks exactly the same.
It does both SCSI and Firewire, so maybe that's new. Otherwise, identical.
My best guess is that it's Konica reorganizing their post-acquisition
product line.)

Thanks David! :)

I was hoping for a new model... dreaming of 5400x5400 in 120 format...
oh well... :)

Bye!
