I bought the Dual II a few years ago and just recently installed the
Photoshop Limited Edition that came with it.

I'm wondering if there is a way to scan directly to Photoshop LE from the
scanner without having to use the MINOLTA Dimage Scan Dual II software?

In my case, Photoshop LE uses the MINOLTA Dimage Scan Dual II software to
import the picture once it's scanned. I would like to bypass the Minolta
software if possable.

I have XP.

Thanks,

Barney

That's not possible. Photoshop isn't a scanning software. It just calls
the scanning software via TWAIN and gets the image data once it is
scanned.

No way that I know of.
Photoshop LE is using the TWAIN interface to the scanner.

Maybe Vuescan will do what you want.

It is standalone and does not use the manufactures software.

The site has popups and/or popunders.

Thanks Markus. Right now I'm taking a color slide photography class and we
get to see some of everyone's work projected onto a screen. I'm not sure
that there will ever be a way to show off the quality of a slide (or
negitive) on a computer screen like I see on the silver screen, however I
hope to learn in a future class some of the best ways to make pictures look
good for the computer screen.
