Hello,

I've got a 5400 and was wondering if anyone has had any luck scanning
APS film. I know there is no auto feed adaptor available but in the
documentation it mentions something about mounted APS slides. What do
they mean by this? Is it possible to remove the APS negative from the
cartridge and somehow mount them? It seems like a ridiculous procedure
to have to go through.

Any advise or thoughts would be appreciated on how to scan my APS film
with the Minolta 5400.

Thanks,
Patrick

Slides are just that - transparency film if that makes it any clearer.
I don't know whether Minolta do a film holder for APS neg film.

I didn't know APS came in positive as well as negative.

Both these sites mention an optional APS adaptor:

I strongly suspect that they are just plain wrong and there is no
APS adaptor.

There is no APS adaptor for the Minolta Elite 5400.
Aren't the APS slides mounted in the same framesize as the 35 mm?
I haven't seen a APS slide projector, heck, I haven't seen much of APS
slide material lately.
