Since completing a reinstall of windows XP on my PC I have noticed that when
I try to move a minimumized window on the desktop it leaves a trail. How can
I rectify this.

Certain of your terminology? A minimized window appears only as a button
on the Taskbar.

Right click on My Computer > Properties > Advanced tab > Performance -
Settings button > Visual Effects tab > remove checkmark from 'Show
windows contents while dragging'

I think my terminology is correct. Try this, I have a small window containing
say a file, open to the left of the screen and move it to the right, as I
move it the file appears to stutter it's way across the screen leaving a
trail.

Did you install the drivers for the motherboard and for the video card
after you did your reinstall?

Thanks for your replies. It was only a reinstall of XP plus word etc. Found
the problem, for some reason I lost the drivers to the graphics card, so the
system was running in vga mode. New drivers and all okay.
