Hello Everybody,
Does anyone know or where I can find a list of Services
that must run on XP Pro system. I am trying to improve
performance by reducing services to a minimum. I realise
this will disable certain facilities.

Cheers

It is advisable not to disable Windows XP services,
but you can if you wish to reinstall XP now and then.

Be sure to post back and tell us how much of a performance improvement you
achieved.

I've done a lot of tweaking...reading...removing...reinstalling <sigh>.
I've found the best resources at the links provided by MS MVPs.
Check out the Microsoft Knowledge Base and Kelly's Corner about improving
your system *before* you decide to disable anything.

Oh...and follow the suggested given by others in this ng!

You're right, Frank.
This is a good place for info, and it's a pretty easy to understand website,
written in simple terms.

Glad you like it.

Don't assume it is 100% of what you want. I used it as a start but in
experimenting each I've learned there are a few more I can disabled. Also,
you will probably see a few on your computer that are not in that web.
