Hello,

I would like to install Windows 2000 Workstation on an old Pentium II,
300Mhz.

My question is: what is the minimum RAM size I should have on that PC
to let Win2K work?

Thanks in advance!

I actually tried it with 64MB once. It works but is really slow with
lots of disk activity.

Reminds me of the time I installed Windows 95 on 4MB ram! It worked!
Barely but it worked.

At least 128 if you really plan to use it (Office or other activities)
and you don't want to have a boot time around 6 minutes :)

But I have to confess that for at least three years I have run a small
print server that I inherited with NT4.0 on and then upgraded to W2k
Pro.

It was a Pentium MX 233Mhz with 64MB and it proudly did its duty until
I found some other spare 64 meg to fuel it :)
