The official minimum is 233MHz. But as usual, the official
minimums may work, but not at acceptable speeds.

I wouldn't want to go below 350-400MHz, and even 400MHz is not
going to be fast. My wife runs XP on a 256MB 400MHz PII; her use
of the machine is fairly limited, so it's adequate for her, but
many people would consider it too slow.
