Minimizing

when i minimize a window in Windows XP Home there appears nothing on the
taskbar. Why would this happen and is there a fix to it? Please help

Is this a program that minimizes to the Notification Tray, that's the area
on the right-hand end of the taskbar where the Time is shown?

If so click on the >> symbol and see if your program appears.
