Curiously enough, I just ran into such a program, TrayDevil, in this
group only a couple of days ago. I've been using it since and don't have
any complains, as it performs exactly as it claims.

Of course, it minimizes almost any program, not just Outlook Express

I knew you were gonna say that :)

Ok, so I am a fan *blush*

I just noticed that I can hot key the mouse to any position on the
screen; on this laptop with its crap mouse, I will probably find a use
for this soon...

Thanks to you as well.

I used to be a fan, had it on my old system, don't know why I don't have it
know. I guess I'm just content with the way things are now.

Wow, that is cool, the coolness is the use you're looking for.

Fidolook (http://fidolook.org/) will add that function to Outlook Express along with a host of other improvements.

Hey, that's a real nice add-on. I think this one will do the trick.
Thanks.

Gonna add my two cents here.

I use Hoekey, which is a teeny (12K!) Memory resident program that
you can use to assign various functions, programs, etc. to keyboard
shortcut.

The main reason I started using it was that I used to use WinKey to
passing events / locations / programs to the Windows key, but began
running out of keys to use.

Enter HoeKEy - it lets you make shortcuts using the Windows, Control,
Alt, and Shfit keys - or any combination thereof.

The kewl thing about it is that some of the default functions that the
author already has pre-encoded into the config file:

1) Minize any window to the system try
2) Predefinted WinAmp controls, including next, previous, vol up/don,
etc.
3) Turn off your monitor (no more having to worry about the delay
setting - hit the keystroke and walk away, with your monitor in
standby , or, as mine is, in DPMS standby)

And literally thousands more.

I know HoeKey has been mentioned before, but to the average user it
looks daunting - until you start playing with it.

Now, I can't live without it, and I can afford 12K of my 1.25 GB of
RAM resources.

See if this might suit your needs.

You're welcome. But don't tell anyone I helped you. It would disappoint too many people in this group. ;)
Good luck.
