Hi, I'm trying to help someone who gets the following error when trying to
render his video in Pinnacle's Studio 8. This occurs shortly after the
rendering has started and the system will re-boot.
C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini120403-02.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\ROBERT~2\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER2.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml
BCCode : 9c BCP1 : 00000000 BCP2 : 805366F0 BCP3 : C4104000
BCP4 : 00000136 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 1_0 Product : 256_1
Specifications of the PC:
WindowsXP sp1, dutch language version
AMD Athlon procesor (2600+ 333 mhz)
512Mb ddr ram
ATI Radeon 9200 video
Asus A7N8X Motherboard
DirectX 9.0B
no overclocking
300 watt power supply
We've tried so far:
- install latest patches Pinnacle Studio 8
- switch off video hardware acceleration in Pinnacle Studio
- switch off video hardware acceleration in windows
- install latest drivers ATI radeon
- full virus scan with up to date virus scanner
- run ad-aware
- run a memory test program several times (ctram51) that does exhausting
memory tests.
All with no success.
We've also checked motherboard and CPU temperature. All within limits.
We're running out of ideas. So our questions are:
- any other idears what to try?
- how to find out what the problem is?
- is it true that this type of error implies some hardware failure?
I hope someone is able to help us. Any suggestion is welcome.
