A client is looking for some recommended minimum hardware configuration for a
DHCP server (Win Server 2000 or 2003) that has to manage up to 300 thousand
IP addresses.

Any feedback or any links to MS documentation would be highly appreciated.

under this chapter you'll find some good hints:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pr...Kit/e24cbe2a-b9f4-412d-9a4a-1c085b2866f1.mspx

The primary factors that impact DHCP server performance include:

. The speed of the server disk drives.

. The amount of RAM installed in the DHCP server computer.

Check the link: "Creating your DHCP Server Design" under this chapter.
You'll probably need this for 300.000 clients.
