For some reason if a meeting request comes into my server with Content-Type:
multipart/alternative;

the meeting request comes in as just plain text.

if a meeting request comes in as Content-Type: multipart/mixed;

then it shows all the correct accept and deny buttons.

And the question is? You cannot control how meetings are sent to you from
others.

After furious head scratching, jerzey4life asked:

well whats weird is that 99% of all the meeting requests that we are getting
are showing up like this.

Even meetings from one of our r&d offices (different domain and exchange)
started comming through as all text.

I verified that the other exchange server was set up the same as mine, and
that the outlook clients we set up the same as we are here. all exchange 2003
sp2 and outlook 2003 sp2 and all the clients are set to send mail in the same
way.

I cand send meeting notes to my other office and they get them fine, but
then send them to us and we get text???

its just weird that it went from about 1% to 99% from one day to the next.

Any ideas?

Have the other location check its exchange message format properties in ESM
to see if it is set to strip formatting from sent items.

i checked the server at my other office and it is set to use both html and
rich text.

so the MIME type is set to both,

and the exchange rich text format is set to "Determined by individule user
setting"
