Close Outook - then find and delete outcmd.dat. Reopen
Outlook and the view
should now stick.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer
brian <[email protected]> asked:

| In Outlook 97 (v 8.04)I have to drag the task pad border
| to see the small date navigator monthly calendars, but
| next time I re-enter outlook they have gone and I have to
| drag the border to bring them into view again.
|
| How can I get Outlook to remember to keep them in view?

..

If you are using XP or W2K operating system be
sure to look in "hidden files" when you perform your
search.

Here is the one specifically for Outlook 98:

You may want to try using the "...\CleanViews" switch to
open Outlook and reset your views to the original setup.

The link below will give you the instructions on how to use it.

OL2000: Additional Command-Line Switches
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;197180&

or

OL97: Additional Command-Line Switches
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;156982

I ran CleanViews but it made no difference :-(

Thanks for trying to help, Skippy
