Mike, in earlier posts you referenced the new features of 2003 DNS. I have
a forest with 13 child domains. There are two root DNS servers and a DNS
server for each child domain, connected by at least a T1. I have not had a
chance to test 2003 yet. Do you know if there are issues or advantages to
upgrading the existing DNS structure in place, or reconfiguring prior to
upgrading? Most zones are in AD integrated mode now. Would there be any
advantages to first making those secondary servers to the root domain
servers? We want to be able to replicate most zones around the forest, and
allow the local admins to maintain their own servers. From what I read, we
also need to run Enterprise Edition to get the new DNS features?
Thanks for your help.
