If you're moving one machine to another
Will it have the same Name & SID
Will it be on the same HAL, i.e. are you moving it from a PII/PIII to a P4/Xeon DP
If you're moving it to the same hardware (or at least same HAL) you can move the hard disks (assuming the disk controller is compatible), or you can use a program like Ghost (or other imaging program) to image the current hard drives to CDs or other hard drives
If the hardware is significantly different, you can move the disks, then boot with the Windows CD and do a repair, but it's best to do a clean install (although I've successfully moved servers between PIII and Xeon DP hardware
If you need a new SID you should ude the sysprep utility before making your image, or use RIS (or 3rd party deployment utils
