Migration of Contact

I have created two profiles in Outlook. I can send e-mail from either.
However, when I create an e-mail I cannot see or choose any contacts in the
to, cc or bcc

I can see the contacts in contract tab and all the sub folders I have
created. How can I get the contacts within the general tab of create e-mail.
I have to cut and paste for now. How can I share all the contacts with all
profiles.

I have Outlook 2003 that was migrated from Outlook 2000 professional

I followed the information, however it would seem that under

How to Mark Your Contact Folder for Use with Your Address Book

3. On the Outlook Address Book tab, click to select Show this folder as an
e-mail address book, type a descriptive name, and then click OK.

My box is greyed in, so I cannot click ok or chose it.

Thanks

You would do well to post your Outlook version.
We'll guess:

Add the Outlook Address Book service to your profile. Click Tools>E-mail
Accounts>Add a new directory or address book>Next. Select Additional
Address BVooks and click Next. Select Outlook Address Book and click Next.
Click Finish. Stop and restart Outlook (may not be needed, but it won't
hurt). Now you should be able to enable the folder as an address book.

Brian,

I did that and the message:

The account you have added is not fully configured. It might not work
properly until re-configured correctly.

Does anyone have a solution to solve this one.

thanks

The article I posted contained all the information you needed for the
problem you described.
Now you are adding additional information that reveals a different problem
entirely. Posting all relevant information at the outset will save us all a
lot of time.
Why don't you tell us exactly how you configured this profile, what mail
transport(s) you configured and how you configured your Outlook Data File so
we won't have to guess so much.

Russ,

I am sorry i may not be as knowledgable in MS products as you, however I
provided the problem like I encountered them. So if I did not do a dichotomy
of the problem in a fashion you would of preferred I apologize.

I do not understand your meaning of mail transport. So I will guess you mean
service provider. I use ma Bell. It works I can send e-mail and receive
e-mail.

I send to either of the two mail server in my profile.

For background, I use to be on Windows 2000 professional, I used both
Outlook and Outlook express. The reason was that the outlook express
provided me the ability to switch between a number of profiles. I do
consulting for a number of clients and I must use their e-mail address. In
outlook express I can see the contact info (a be t the e-mail address). I
have migrated to Outlook 2003 from Win 2000 P.

The problem with the contact info for outlook appeared when I created
another profile in Outlook 2003 last week. All my other consulting profiles
were in Outlook express. Thisnew client insited on me using Outllook. Prior
to that I have been using Outlook 2003 for 4 month with no issues.

So that is the problem like I see it now, it is not to say it could be
another type of problem. So how do I resolve this?

Let's just start with the basics. You've described at least two different
problems but I don't have enough information to tell where the problem is
yet. That is why I asked you for that information. Since you were the one
who had just created this profile, I assumed the that information and the
terms would be familiar to you. Apparently they are not.
To function properly any Outlook profile must have 3 components:
1. A valid, functioning mail transport (an email account, for example)
1. A default data file (or information store)
3. The Outlook Address Book Service
I need to know how you installed and configured each of these in your new
profile to see where the problem is.
Look over this information as a guide if you don't remember what you did:
