We have a W2K clustered print server (250 printers) using standard MS
clustering, print drivers loaded on both nodes, and all shares offered via
virtual server alias. Works great.
We want to migrate the printers on the existing W2K cluster to a new W2K3
cluster which has better hardware.
Is PrintMig capable of doing this migration seamlessly? We are concerned
about driver compatibility (user vs kernel mode) and server stability. Also
the doc says it will go server to cluster, but I do not see any clear
guidance on 2000 clusters to 2003 clusters.
Our alternative is to re-add all printers from scratch on W2K3 cluster using
the latest user mode drivers but want to avoid that via migration if at all
possible.
Thanks in advance for any feedback/suggestions/tips you may have.
